  L et's Reveal.... Erotomania [Pseudo Belief of someone Loving you] Erotomania is of two forms. Primary form is a condition where a patient holds a false belief that another person is in LOVE with him/her. A person can be anyone to whom the patient has never even meet. eg celebrity, politician,actor,etc. This condition is so rare,onset,chronic & mostly seen in females[ Shy,dependent and Sexually inexperienced] The sufferer may also feel like a person is trying to convey his love with different tricks. Secondary form is found along with mental disorder like Hallucination, Persecutory delusion[delusion like someone is mistreating or harming you] and a grandiose ideas[over confidence like person has lots of talent and he is responsible for many discoveries] It was first described by G.G. De Clerambault in 1885 How Rare : Chances of getting Erotomania is 0.2 % in lifetime. Complications : In severe cases, erotomania can cause someone to show risky or aggressive behavior. A Suff

Let me start my post with a question...
So guys..Do you have any idea about most rare disease in our planet???🤔

    Progeria is an extremely rare autosomal dominant genetic disorder[Abnormal gene from one parent is enough to cause disease in a child]

Why Abnormal??
Mutation or change in lamina A,which makes a protein that holds nucleus of a cell together,because of this mutation, protein becomes defective and ultimately leads to nucleus unstable.

NOTE:-Also called as a HUTCHINSON GILFORD SYNDROME
Because,1st described by Hutchinson in 1886 and later briefly described by Gilford in 1897.And another name Progeria,where pro means before and geria means aging/getting old 

Symptoms:-
  • Short Height
  • Pinched Nose
  • Small Face
  • Hair Loss
  • Scalp and Eyes are prominent
Complications:-
  • Heart Diseases
  • Stroke
  • Hip Dislocation
Diagnosis:-
  • Based on symptoms  and genetic test.
HOW RARE IS THIS DISEASES?
1 in 18 Million 

AVERAGE LIFE SPAN?
13 years old

90% patients  die after gaining certain complication like Cardiovascular issues ,Stroke etc

Treatment:-
No treatment yet proven effective but complications can be minimised  with few surgery and medications.

Few Good things to know :-
  1. Do not affect brain cells and hence  Mental Development  is not affected.
  2. Usually never passes from parents to child as affected parent rarely live for 13 years.So less chances of giving birth.
3. Meet Margaret casey☝,29 years old survivor from progeria. It's really great to survive for such a long time..
