  L et's Reveal.... Erotomania [Pseudo Belief of someone Loving you] Erotomania is of two forms. Primary form is a condition where a patient holds a false belief that another person is in LOVE with him/her. A person can be anyone to whom the patient has never even meet. eg celebrity, politician,actor,etc. This condition is so rare,onset,chronic & mostly seen in females[ Shy,dependent and Sexually inexperienced] The sufferer may also feel like a person is trying to convey his love with different tricks. Secondary form is found along with mental disorder like Hallucination, Persecutory delusion[delusion like someone is mistreating or harming you] and a grandiose ideas[over confidence like person has lots of talent and he is responsible for many discoveries] It was first described by G.G. De Clerambault in 1885 How Rare : Chances of getting Erotomania is 0.2 % in lifetime. Complications : In severe cases, erotomania can cause someone to show risky or aggressive behavior. A Suff

Ectopia Cordis

Let's Reveal....Ectopia Cordis
Ectopia Cordis is a rare genetic defect where chest wall doesn't form correctly during baby's development in uterus,which results in displacement of heart from its original position.
1st reported case in 1671 by Stensen and 1st successful operation in 1675  by Saxena in Philadelphia.
Further classified into 5 types based on heart location:-
  1. Cervical[Rare]
  2. Thoraco-Cervical[Most Common]
  3. Thoracic[Less Common]
  4. Thoraco -abdominal[Common]
  5. Abdominal[Rare]
Again..depending on how it is located,Ectopia Cordis is divided into:-
  • Partial Ectopia Cordis,where heart is located outside the chest wall under the skin,one can see slightly heart beat through the skin
  • Complete Ectopia Cordis,where heart is situated totally outside the chest with NO protection layers as such like skin,one can clearly see heart beat,death chances are more because injury and infection chances are high here.
This ultimately results in :-
  • Difficulty in breathing
  • Poor Circulation
  • Electrolyte Imbalance
AND Also...due to Heart displacement,many other parts of body also get disturb which results in skeletal deformities.
Male fetus is more likely to develop Ectopia Cordis.
Some Theories include:-
  • Chromosomal Abnormalities
  • Rupture of Amniotic sac
  • IntraUterine  Drug exposure
Thanks to God..its a rare defect{Only 8 of 1 million Fetus do suffer from Ectopia Cordis}

Treatment:-Surgery is the only way to relocate the fetus's heart inside the chest and close the thoracic cavity.
{Certain Antibiotics are recommended to prevent infection}
So finally coming to the end..meet Audrina Cardenas ,a baby girl born with ectopia Cordis,undergone a complex heart  surgery at a very young age..Salute to this shiny smile lovely...🙏💖
