  L et's Reveal.... Erotomania [Pseudo Belief of someone Loving you] Erotomania is of two forms. Primary form is a condition where a patient holds a false belief that another person is in LOVE with him/her. A person can be anyone to whom the patient has never even meet. eg celebrity, politician,actor,etc. This condition is so rare,onset,chronic & mostly seen in females[ Shy,dependent and Sexually inexperienced] The sufferer may also feel like a person is trying to convey his love with different tricks. Secondary form is found along with mental disorder like Hallucination, Persecutory delusion[delusion like someone is mistreating or harming you] and a grandiose ideas[over confidence like person has lots of talent and he is responsible for many discoveries] It was first described by G.G. De Clerambault in 1885 How Rare : Chances of getting Erotomania is 0.2 % in lifetime. Complications : In severe cases, erotomania can cause someone to show risky or aggressive behavior. A Suff

           Capgras Delusion[Pseudio Belief]

Capgras Delusion is a  rare psychiatric disorder, where person misidentify their own loved ones i.e He/She holds a delusion that family,friends, or any known member has been replaced by an identical person.

In 1923, A french psychiatrist  Joseph Capgras brought this disorder in notice to world . 
  • Etiology :
    • Commonly associated with Alzheimer's diseases [Mental deterioration]
    • Brain Injury
    • Trauma [Mental Stress]
    • Epilepsy [Loss of consciousness]
  • Symptoms :
    • Hallucination
    • Anxiety
    • Depression
    • Loneliness
    • Fatigue [Extreme Tiredness]
    • Declined Memory
    • Ataxic Gait [Unsteady]

In 2014, A 45 year Old Woman was suffering from Mental disturbance. She started staring at her husband and son as a stranger ,since she was in blind belief that they are duplicates of her husband and son. Her Husband took her to hospital forcefully. Doctors proclaimed that she is suffering from Capgras syndrome, But she was not ready to accept it, psychiatrist suggested a few medications. But she refused as she believed that her husband and son are strangers who are trying to poison her. Because of her negligence towards medicine..Now she is no longer

    • Treatment :
      • As of now, We don't have standard treatment .. But, yes Certain therapies and medicines are worth to cure few symptoms.
      • Individual, Pharmaco, Behavioral therapy
      • Cholinesterase Inhibitor

A Famous bollywood actress ,  Her death is still a mystery. But, as per few psychiatrist she was suffering from delusion.
 She was suffering from schizophrenia in 1940 which means severe mental disorder[Disruption in thinking, delusion].
